​​Your feet do a lot for you — and when you’re living with diabetes, looking after them is an important part of looking after your health.

Diabetes can increase the risk of everyday foot problems becoming more serious, especially if blood glucose levels affect circulation or cause nerve damage. The good news is that simple daily habits, the right footwear and regular foot checks can all help reduce your risk.

FootSMART is a short, practical workshop that gives you the skills and information you need to care for your feet with confidence. By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel more confident checking, protecting and caring for your feet every day.

​​​Who is this program suitable for?

Primarily for people living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

Where are the workshops held?

Workshops are held throughout the Perth metropolitan and rural areas throughout WA. Currently we are only offering face-to-face workshops.


Can I attend without a registration?

You must have a confirmed pre-booking, including your support person if you wish to bring someone along. Waitlist registrations are not considered a confirmed booking.

​​Can I bring a support person?

Yes, a support person is welcome to attend. Please ensure that they are registered to attend the workshop.

Do I need to be registered with the NDSS?

No, NDSS registration is not required.


What is the cost? 

All of our SMARTS workshops are free to attend for you and your support person.
